Re: Where is the 2023 map voting page

The forum died a long time ago and now even the yearly revive-attempts are canceled :>
It's definitely nice to have you still here though. So let's enjoy our time together here))

Re: Everything you need to be a dummy player

Amazing tutorial, thanks for writing))
I also linked it in the overview topic (https://forum.ddnet.org/viewtopic.php?t=2420).

And I also linked your other tutorial topic there, somehow missed that until now .__.

Re: How to host public server

Note however, that it will not be listed under the DDNet server tab or handled like an "offical" server location with ranks and so on.
Its more like your personal server with the ddnet source code.

Re: how to find source code documentation

There are also some good introduction posts written by Ryozuki on his personal website:

Well, this might be already linked at the ddnet-wiki page but anyways .__.

Re: Astrontokeya by Aksonamen [DDmaX?]

Glad that you found your way into mapping. Unfortunately that's not the right place anymore. The whole map testing section moved to discord (https://discord.com/invite/22sqGcB) a few years ago. You should upload your map there (Map-Testing > submit-maps) to get feedback and maybe we can release it t...

Re: How to upload skin on skin database

Unfortunately you can't just upload a skin yourself, like maps it should be evaluated and approved first. So, upload your *.png file and an ingame screenshot at our discord (https://discord.com/invite/22sqGcB) under "Skin Submission" and maybe it will be uploaded to the official skin datab...

Re: Is there any way i can get the old hud back?

Although it's not really recommended and you would lose all the other recent changes, there is always the option to downgrade your client.
I guess version 16.2.2 introduced the HUD, so you would be fine using version 16.1 (https://ddnet.org/downloads/#16.1) for now.

Re: How to re-sign in to ddnet client?

You can just ignore the warning about the already existing username. DDNet is not based on accounts, so it's basically just an information for new players that they should probably change to another nickname. In your case, that doesn't matter. If you don't want the warning each time you start a new ...

Re: add skin to database

Unfortunately a submission via discord is the only option left right now.
You probably noticed that the forum is nearly dead .__.

However, as murpi suggested, we could post the skins on your behalf in the discord channel and write the evaluation results here.
For that, just post the *.png-files here.
