Re: DDNet - DDracemaX?
DDNet DDmaX server started!
Gameplay didn't change, what means there can be common disturbing bugs like blue teleports, missing Entities Off signs or on-off spam. I only added more spawns (some maps had only 1-2 spawn tiles), made HD, improved a few backgrounds (if colors were very horrible or Quads didn't fit in screen), used Aspect Ratio on countless clouds, reduced layers size and removed unused Images.
I couldn't guess every mapper, so if there are missing creators and you know who made the map or you found a mistake - I will appreciate your help. Also it was hard to rate all maps with stars. It's mainly 1* for .easy maps, 2-3* for .next and 4-5* for pro, with a few exceptions, so please understand that I didn't spend so much time on thinking about rating.
More Info in News.
Thank you for support and have fun on new old maps!

Re: DDNet - DDracemaX?
The DDmaX category consist of maps from the DDracemaX network. The original DDracemaX servers were closed some time ago - I don't remember the exact month - and a lot of wonderful maps disappeared cause of this. Most of them differed a lot from typical DDNet maps, because of unique style and separate authors. I can't tell you completely what made them so special, but I'll try to do my best recalling how I remember them:
The DDracemaX maps usually have a specific style - focused on making interesting parts and gameplay, instead of polishing the decorations and complying with standards. They typically tended to be more classic and raw than today's maps, though some of them were clean and refined too - for example, Purple Panic, 0 KBeeeR S and KitKat map series or Google, Angry, 42 and The VoiD maps. A lot of DDmaX maps were based on more "natural" tileset, instead of simple - yet lucid - DDNet walls, which made them more interesting and characteristic. Few of them were even barely playable because of their style - for example, the Totoro map just slain the "[map] should have some contrast"* rule - albeit a lot of more sophisticated designs were really beautiful. But let us be honest, even if they weren't tested as closely, as DDNet maps are, and some of them had their problems or required playing with entities on (like Totoro did) - a lot of people, including me, loved them for their recognisable flavour.
We had no idea if DDracemaX will come back (although its admins have said that they are working on it), so Lady Saavik created this topic, to let us decide if we want their maps online in a separate category on DDNet. After some time the decision was made and now a lot of tees are glad to see this maps back online. ^^

Re: DDNet - DDracemaX?
I think you mean the RacemaX server? ._. Ye, you could find a few really good race maps there.
If we manage to do a ddnet race server these maps will be on there :3
For now, I think we should not add a special ddmax solo server.
