Re: Naufrage 3
You can delete much data if you take all maps and delete the unused images.
The gameplay has a high quality, so some more kbs are okay (map will be played a lot, no matter how many kbs). Map is worth the download time.
We never expected the mappers to cut unused images, why would the start now?

Re: Naufrage 3
every time?
I don't remember such situations either
I don't see that much tiles to remove, we shouldn't remove credits and what about people that maybe want to use tilesets from the map?

Re: Naufrage 3
1000 players * 300KB are just 300MB useless traffic for the server, with a few more players and maps you fastly get several GB wich are useless and wich cost money. : o
We always expected to let them remove stuff to make the map smoother for the servers and clients: Unused layers, mapres, envelopes.
Ofc you can't expect that everyone can handle a graphic programm, but there are enough people here even in the testers group who can.
I roughly cutted hook.png and beach.png. I just did it quickly so maybe i missed something: I replaced the mapres in the version i have (dunno what is latest here): As you can see i saved 444KB.
In the short time i wasn't able to figure out for what the mapper used the jungle_doodads2.png, i couldn't find tiles in the layers using this mapres.
So either he used it very rarely or even not at all -> further 304KB wich are possibly useless.
So maybe we are talking here about 600 - 700 KB, wich is about half of the map.
This is really an huge amount and worth to fix, imo - and in this size also for the players.

Re: Naufrage 3
Anyway... just for say it. I tested it and i found a design bug: sun is behind stars and this is so ugly:
Well i finished testing. No bugs found. For me it's 3,75* = 4* but if you want it 3* ok.
And... i didn't finish testing it yet because... well... i was afraid you was going to release it so i reported this bug because i think this would be the last one.Well i finished testing. No bugs found. For me it's 3,75* = 4* but if you want it 3* ok.

Re: Naufrage 3
About stars not behind sun? They have an ugly level! Everybody knows that the nearest star is the sun so if the stars aren't behind it... it's weird... can we fix it?deen wrote:Released.
