Add "disable movement" entity
Add "disable movement" entity
Hello everyone,
I had an idea about new map feature.
Add a new entity (or does it already exist?) to completely disable tee movements but not keep frozen, tee can still use weapons and hook.
The idea is a part of map for 2 tees or dummy map:
the first tee touches the "no_movement" entity and the "no_hit_others" entity.
So they have to hammer fly, but the driver is the same tee that use hammer!
Optionally the second tee touches the "no_hook_other" entity.
And to be a little easier add permanent hook to the first tee.
I had this idea with an afk-tee that was keeping permanent hook activated on me.
Hammer fly with lower driver is possible for sure.
It is a funny and nice feature to trouble mid-skilled players maybe.
What do you think?
If this already exist, let's map something with this feature.

Re: Add "disable movement" entity
I remember that we have some tune zone for this, but forgot on which map it's used.

Re: Add "disable movement" entity
the map is Skepsis by timakro, soreu and juandissmo. and the command is
tune_zone 1 air_control_speed 0

And in Soreu's loading screen and in Pharice 2. And the real command is:
tune_zone 1 ground_friction 1
tune_zone 1 air_control_accel 0
tune_zone 1 ground_control_accel 0
But as I understood, he wants to have one tee not moving, not both.

Yes.
Something like a "tune_tee" command, to have permanent effect only on single tees.

Re: Add "disable movement" entity
That would break prediction, which is why tune zones are areas and not tiles.
Re: Add "disable movement" entity
Oh, right!
Per tee physics customization would break prediction.
However isn't movement inhibition already handled with frozen tees?
It is like a semi-frozen status.
Just cut away tee movements server-side, but keep mouse control

Re: Add "disable movement" entity
Yeah, possible for this specific case I guess, would have to be a new feature and you'd have to find a developer to implement it and some consent if we actually want this as a feature.
