Problem - hook releases randomly

Post by SBL »

Hey guys,
i have a very annoying problem since a few weeks. My hook releases randomly.
This might be an issue with my internet, but i have absoloutly no idea how to fix it.
The reason for the release might be micro DC`s (mini connection timeouts), I`ve noticed this problem in a few other games aswell.
Since i can solve this problem by my own, I thought i can try it here and maybe someone can help me.

Did you try it on a local server? Maybe it's your mouse?

I also think its the mouse. Have another mouse and its hard to mark with it any text (and copy) because it is "auto"-releasing. Could you try another mouse.

Hook shouldn't release even if there is (mini) connection timeout.

I think also it is the mouse. If you have an driver or something like that i would make an update.
And if you can, open your mouse and clean the buttons. (just an idea)
