No i dont think so, people could always steal parts. And its a fact that most mappers acctually have the pw for the testservers. So if they want to steal parts they can.

+ A lot of ppl already have pw for testing server, so if someone really want to get it, he can w/o bigger problems... (which is also bad)

Thats a bad/no argument.

+ Random guys (who mostly wouldn't even know how to place single tile in editor) ~testing map, and saying that it's ready to release just becuase they think so / because why not - it would have been a total shit & mess.

If you just wanna show a map to a friend ask him for an opinion, you don't need any rights here or the pw to the DDNet Servers...
If you wanna have a qualified test it is better to have it clear who is able to and who isn't.
