DDNet isn't even able to handle the current amount of players, how shall it look like if there are twice or more players?

DDNet is a mod, stop saying it's not. The license on ddnet is the same as teeworlds for a good reason.
I highly doubt deen will choose to make ddnet a 'subnet' of teeworlds.

i count 35 (ddnet) ddrace servers, so its 35x64, we got space for 2240 ddrace players

ye, go play in 40 newbies horde... on full server...
+ that means these 2240 players annoyed by each other can play only 35 out (of 800+) maps at once, which is equal to pure shitness...

actually, 1000+ maps
but deen will make more servers if there are more players and problems with empty servers
or 256p servers

I did some research and I've found out that we'll be using Steam only as another mean of acquiring the game. ^^ Therefore I guess there's nothing dangerous to worry about (besides the influx of new players, which one day would be a problem anyway).

Seems like they got enough positive feedback for teeworlds and they'll talk to the devs.

Who talks with the devs?
Btw.: It's kinda funny that they started to discuss about trailers and mods after publishing it on Steam. Imo such stuff should be made before.^^
