Sounds like a good decision.
My only concern is #4. I offered to help with the community side of DDNet, but it seems like no action is being taken, period. Dunno.

Good to hear that most people are happy about DDNet closing.

Yeah, it's unfortunate that the administration did not accept help from outsiders. But it's difficult to judge who's trustworthy and who will still be motivated after 2 days.

I hope this is a joke...
About Chileans community, I've played with them, and the community it's not destroyed, they keep playing and joking around
I can't help about leadership and things like that, but I think a few guys can help, like dinner
The map releases it's kinda fucked up, cause they are not a lot of testers, and they only want new parts (impossible to be creative with the maps right now). I've offered my help at testing and no one of the leadership gived me an answer
I would like to donate to this community, but I'm just 16, and I can't offer that kind of help
@BamBam I don't think you and Aoe can make a good server to all the DDNet community...
Aoe can also apologize for what he said and did, in my opinion, we all do bad things, I can understand he was just complaining about the staff (I did that too). But doing all the videos and hate on the forum, wasn't the good way... he should get unbanned and keep mapping and playing, cause he is a good person in my opinion
I don't think that DDNet should be shut down, but if that's the only way, there is nothing we can do

what? I am not happy about ddnet closing, I am sad they are closing, and I don't like it to be that way, but what's the point of hiding under my bed and crying?
why not be happy anyways

Hi, im Pancito from the chilean community. I dont know if you remember me deen :p (probably not). I just wanted to say thanks to you for all the effort you have made for the community, and because i feel like you think this has all been worthless, i want to tell you that the chilean community doesnt think those things at all. Its just a really few players who miss the good old days (but dont we all?). Supporting the community almost by yourself (at least that's what i've seen from the outside) is really admirable, and shutting everything down is very sad, but very understandable. You dont need me or anyone to tell you what to do, i just want to wish you good luck and thank you for everything. You are a great person

Anyway... there was only 1 person releasing maps so it was expectable this, and more with aoe. Dunno why chileans wants the shutdown, anyway.
