in ddnet server isn't allowed to spam emotes. every time you do a emote you need to wait some time around 1 sec to do another 1 emote. this isn't in block server where u can Spam emotes without wait a time. so I agree with Spyker... it could be something out of normal ddnet.

It can normal DDNet client, and normal DDNet server - some of our servers (e.g. Chile) just has bit different settings, like no/short emotes-delay

DDNet History lesson: This was initially only for the USA server, because Broken said they REALLY need it in USA. Then I set up the CAN, Chile and Brazil servers based on USA, so they inherited this setting.
On your own server you can do it with
sv_emoticon_delay 0. It's not enabled on the rest of DDNet because I find it annoying.

Emote spam is one of the things I love about USA, hehe. I think it adds to the fun.

I like when there's no delay - you can express various emotions without wating and it's easier to correct yourself after using a wrong emote. ^^
