I think i am afraid so..
EDIT: It sucks that you are still waiting for a reply.

What i do not understand is why many people are applying for moderator/helper, lately?
Problems with current helpers/moderators? Lack of appearance from current moderators/helpers?
With the condition DDNET is in - in the sense of no development, possibly closing soon, not even replying to pixel from last year may, they should not be considering helpers/moderators.

I would recommend changing this section. The Team Leaders should make a forum topic only when they are looking for moderators/helpers. I understand why you would want to have it open, to allow equal opportunity to anyone, but comments these days are filled with hate against one another and i do not think admins read it.

As far as i know it is gdin who does decisions about mods and when he is online he will answer,
maybe we should decide in some cases, so people don't wait forever.

I guess people know that their application is maybe useless, so they can apply and we see what we do ;)

when he is online he will answer
yeah i think he has been waiting 7 months for him to be online *wink* *wink*.

I am not sure if it is gdin's responsibility but it is quite sad how Team Leaders who have the power do not take 5 minutes out of their time to reply to people who have actually put effort into their applications. All it takes is a simple Yes or No, depending on the person.

If they do not even bother replying, just remove the section and only open it up when DDNET is actually looking for moderators/helpers, which could be never...

I think pixel would be a great resource. And I am also concerned about the waiting time and feedback for applications.

But, I am also concerned about Pixel's age :/ Maybe because I know that I could not do a great job when I was his age.

It sounds simple, but it's not just a quick read and then a simple yes or no reply.. :o
There are more things to consider and I'm sure there will be a decision soon. Maybe gdin, maybe someone else :)
However, I don't really know if it's necessary to get that many mods in the first place. You can kick/mute and stuff, but that doesnt really help to prevent it completely. In the end, there is just more fighting. But that's only my opinion, based on <1h playing/week with mostly team or on almost empty servers .__.

About your specific apply I'm neutral, I guess. And it's certainly not a decline yet :p

The most Mods are rather inactive or dont give a fuck about other players and play in empty server with their friends. The trial Mods, Welf & Ezio are the only you see "in action" these days.
Its also disrespectful to not give an helpful player an answer to his application after nearly 7 months.
How hard can it be to write 2 sentences about what you think ? Its even unnecessary if you are quite unsure just say it lol.
[mod=Index]Yes, it is unrespectful that we not decided yet, nonetheless :/
Maybe Welf is right, let's decide then without gdin. But I'll stay with my uncertain-vote .___.[/mod]

Apologies, I think I might have just missed this application when it was originally posted. I don't have very much time for DDNet these days, but I try to answer within a week or two at least.

Honestly the age is a bit of a concern for accepting this one - players may try to exploit/take advantage of this fact and try to evoke emotions or lack of judgement. I'd know because I admin'd servers at the same age and looking back, I dealt with a lot of that. On the other hand, Seba0006 has done a fine job of mod at the same age so it's hard to say.

Because of this uncertainty and the fact that GER has the largest amount of mods, I'm going to deny for now, but leave the topic open for discussion.
