I think impossible put maps like supernice next to fly to the moon

Making another server just will make everything more complicated and is a bunch of work. I don't like the idea at all. Purple Panic 1-2 was DDracemax.. right? What about Purple Panic 3 then? Maps like Purple Panic are pretty known and I could imagine a lot player would be confused if they don't see those maps in the votes tap on Moderate servers.

I think we should really try to talk to them and find a solution together.

or grow some balls and give ppl more maps to play

I'm just worried because it's all connected with the copyrights thing, etc. :c And its always more beneficial to be in good relations with other initiatives than to argue. ^^

There is nothing connected with any copyright. Its an open game, maps are open. If they are published, everybody could put them on their own server without taking care on the mapper or server leader.
What we are doing now is just a gesture of goodwill.

I'm not sure, the maps have a license field in their files. :c
But yeah, I think that it would be just kind to ask them first and we should do so.

Firstly, DDmaX is not dead.
Secondly, I think these maps are still DDmax' property. You should ask Tsin and not anyone from the community. What if you do a "DDNet-DDmaxMaps" server, and DDmaX will come back?! You had to delete it. So, you should talk to Tsin.
