Still your decision, if you want to finish this series, just do it ^^.

ofc It's my decision, though... I make my decision depending on the players.

I don't map for fame, It's just that many players ask me to make more of these maps so it would be sad to turn their hopes down.
& If i mapped for fame I would probably release all my maps ^^'

But if you say that you don't have fun mapping further Genericores then imo it shouldn't matter if the people would play more of them.
Often the result of such things is that mapper make bad maps, cause they don't have fun and aren't able to give the map the love it needs. So I would prefer to see a new "franchise" with a really good map from you. : o

I don't know about this... i mean, if someone doesn't want to map anymore he can't do all the maps, but at example if Amol don't want to do a Genericore map but an Aim map, it's the same... the author it's the same, only name and design changes... Yeah, maybe the map is a bit different with some part, but i can't get how a mapper "have fun" making a map with just a different name...

If you don't have fun while mapping: Do something else what will give you fun, as hi_leute_gll said - if you force yourself to mapp, it ends up in another story called "one map too much in serie" which is shit;
If you don't know if players want next map / what type of map: Do poll (in Off-topic);
This thread looks more like if it should be in Off-topic alread than in map testing.
Would be nice if now it could focus on map itself (testing) instead of making more Off-topic.

Just to clear this up; I love to make maps, I've been mappin' for about 5 years by now. I'm not planning to quit mapping. Right now I took a break from Genericore maps cuz It's all the same * repeating while making these maps.

As I've seen lately is that ppl make their maps with the game layer when working on the parts. This... Is impossible to me. I make different kinds of maps depending on the map design. & ftr I don't enjoy making "Aim" maps.
If you take a close look at the Excast maps you can see it's like a moderate Genericore series.

It happens to be that I got some Genericores just waiting to get released. My goal was to make Genericore 5 a special one. It took me quite a lot of time & effort. Now when I've been mapping so much Genericore I feel I have to wait ~ a month before i continue. Luckly GC6 is finished.

ppl will probably want more genericores or some aim/drag (almost no teamwork) maps by me so that doesn't really help me at all. Faily maps is my style.
