I told u to put the focus on the main trick, idea of the part and don't trash it in long drag parts or whatever. My opinion doesn't change even tho u put 10 years into this map. I appreciate your work but this doesn't make me cover my opinion under lies.Jimmy Jazz The 1st wrote: Mon Oct 09, 2017 8:32 pm Sorry but when you say they have no real idea behind them, is that because they take a while to figure out how to do them? Because i know i had ideas before going into making the parts.
I can't remember this tbh. I was probably busy and just joined the server and played some parts. I can understand your complaint here, so sorry^. So don't expect me to test your map properly with you when I didn't make it clear.Jimmy Jazz The 1st wrote: Mon Oct 09, 2017 8:32 pm You tested my map a few months ago. And you just left towards the end. Without giving me any idea as what to do next. Sorry to say but thats quite rude and just lazy on your part as a tester. I know you do it in your free time, but a little heads up two months ago would have been awesome on your part. But maybe next time.
I didn't like one single part but that's subjective.Jimmy Jazz The 1st wrote: Mon Oct 09, 2017 8:32 pm Maybe you could try clarify what you did like? Because unlike a lot of mappers i didn't take 2 days/weeks to create the map. It took many months and a lot of work. Not even a single screen shot to go on with, do you really expect me to improve with your vague 'tips'.
Wrong topic?^ I hope you read that I pleased u not to become mad.Jimmy Jazz The 1st wrote: Mon Oct 09, 2017 8:32 pm You post that utterly insane map that barely anyone would even attempt to finish. And you think that is worth releasing? Please explain how this mapper planned all his parts, when he attempted to make this map. Cause honestly it feels completely 'random' in the same way. Just you know, 100 times harder.
I gave u this tips to try them out in your next maps. It helped me but sorry that u judge it as failure before u even tried it out... Idc what you want your map to be for players as long it's enjoyable. I don't think the map is enjoyable and the lack of interest in this map gives me the impression I'm right. I just felt like u deserve to get at least an answer after 2 months.Jimmy Jazz The 1st wrote: Mon Oct 09, 2017 8:32 pm Sorry to say but your honest opinion didn't really help me improve as a mapper. I understand the parts are long and hard, but im trying to improve the players on ddnet. Not make maps with parts we have seen about 1000 times now. Thats honestly how your maps feel to me. But hey, they were mapped decently so you can just push it how you feel.
Thanks for your delayed review.
