To be honest, I think deen made the right decision, in the last weeks I always heard people talking about their problems on DDNet, instead of having fun on the servers.
Since deen shut down the server at the end of September, nothing really changed.
My Conclusion: Sometimes something old has to be destroyed, that a new better thing can grow!
I will definitely miss the times on DDNet :)

[*]No more money to run DDNet beyond December 2015, for example:
- 14 € donated in the last 3 months with 235 € server costs for the same time
- I made 450 € loss for DDNet servers so far[/list]

I think people don't donate cuz all the bars are filled, maybe put the 2016 bar and see what happens?

But yeah, instead of searching for solutions lets shutdown all.

Also about other ddrace servers with more players? when?

Edit: Also, ddnet is not just the client, its about the community too, and i'm sure lot of people wants to keep it alive (less aoe army)

"DDNet has the size of a commercial product, but is maintained by a few lazy people who are doing it as hobby."

http://forum.ddnet.tw/memberlist.php?mode=group&g=21
Only HMH is "doing" something, but, as hobby imo.

Others are just doing nothing at my point of view.

People don't donate because they don't believe in the future of ddnet anymore. Which is what happens if you talk about shutting it down all the time. no surprise

Fully right, its very big problem, nobody sure about future of this beauty project DDNet. As right that something have to be changed to keep DDNet allive. I`m fully happy to play with this community, play this new nice maps as Grandpa. But as any project it should be developed.

Sadly, but deen right it shouldnt going like now. And the main problem of saving DDNet now is just bad period, when many active testers/devs/admins left, and new didnt become. I`m believe in new admins, but community didnt see his works almost at all...
Want say it one more time : I`m fully for kepp DDNet allive, but can`t help with it more then just playing and supporting community on forum, and probably trying to become as idea generator and dev but in future, which may not have
