I bet Saavik is talking about Tsin who made the compilation, right?Zgokee wrote:Skynet speed runs, here I come.

hi_leute_gll wrote:Lady Saavik wrote:They will have stars, give points.
- How many points they will give?
- Will they be added to the existing point system or will they be handled separately?
- How many stars will they have per category and server?
- So people have to play even more bad maps to keep a high amount of points?
hi_leute_gll wrote:What is with Team Ranks and Ranks:
- Will they be added to the exsiting ones, too?
- What is with dozens of maps wich will have just a few finishes but give 25 points?
- Mabye it will crash the exisiting leaderboards?
Sorry but I never said something like that to anyone. But I hope they will take fixed, better versions from us if they come back. I hope I didn't work 10h for nothing (and it's not ready yet).hi_leute_gll wrote:Also you told me that the server will be deleted if DDmax will reopen:
- Will the points deleted, too?
- If yes: Why we should collect the points then?
- If not: Then it would be impossible for new players to get a high amount of points, cause maps aren't playable anymore? (For the case that points are added to DDNet).
hi_leute_gll wrote:Lady Saavik wrote:Maps from DDNet servers will be moved there
- What is with the points you already got on these maps?
- What is with the ranks there?
- If the server will be deleted, will they be moved back?
- What is with mapper who wants there maps to be part of DDNet and don't care if they were on DDmax or not?
- What is with maps wich are completly reworked for DDNet and are far away from the versions wich were released on DDmax?
As I already said - I don't want to select 'best' maps and delete 'bad' maps, those "DDmaX drag maps" were popular even if it was boring for some people. I don't care what DDmaX hosted and I don't want to change it. You know all people have their tastes.hi_leute_gll wrote:Lady Saavik wrote:Any further ideas, opinions?[/list]
- Instead of adding hundres of maps many don't know and don't want to play you could also make kinda "best of DDmax".
It would be still a nostalgic memorial thingy, but without adding so much waste.
No, I don't mean him. We just couldn't add Skynets to DDNet, so it will stay on DDmaX.hi_leute_gll wrote:Lady Saavik wrote:I know about one mapper who doesn't want his maps here and one map that can't be hosted in DDmaX category, so we will respect it.I bet Saavik is talking about Tsin who made the compilation, right?Zgokee wrote:Skynet speed runs, here I come.
Yes, also an interesting idea. But I'm afraid people want to have some goals and get rewards for finishing maps. I have nothing against no points there. Maybe it's best solution - we won't force people to play bad maps, they will play for entertaiment.hi_leute_gll wrote:EDIT:

And imagine people from other countries for example, they don't know all maps, people will vote other maps every minute, because they want to see everything. Imagine a new server online with full vote list with 400 'new' maps. It's pretty confusing. And if you want to have all maps released at once - you have to wait more, untill all are ready. Right now we can release and fix other maps at the same time.kamillentee wrote:+1hi_leute_gll wrote:Maybe it would be also better to make no points for them. Isnt it better to add all maps immediately. Because if all maps are added there is no hype on ddmax server everyday, which prevents people to play on really new maps.
I'm not talking about me...Lady Saavik wrote: If these maps are bad for you - yes, logic
Not rlly. If a map is so bad or annoying that just 2 tees have the mood to finish them, it doesn't mean that they are the best players.Lady Saavik wrote:And what is the problem? If only one team was able to finish the map it means they are the best - 25points!
Yeah, i know that you aren't a speedrunner, but you have to take care for their opinions, too.Lady Saavik wrote:I have no idea
You did and further you can't close it out.Lady Saavik wrote:Sorry but I never said something like that to anyone.hi_leute_gll wrote:Also you told me that the server will be deleted if DDmax will reopen:
Maybe you wanna say wich map you mean?Lady Saavik wrote:
- Exactly this case is meant by "one map that can't be hosted in DDmaX category" - it will be released on DDNet
- I wanted to add them to DDmaX server, because fixes were made by mapper, map is improved, so why we should host old version?
There are popular maps wich people like to play and ones wich people don't like to play. Nothing really new, or?Lady Saavik wrote:As I already said - I don't want to select 'best' maps and delete 'bad' maps, those "DDmaX drag maps" were popular even if it was boring for some people. The meaning of points in general are an own topic we can discuss long about. I would suggest to make either no points-system or an own point-system.Lady Saavik wrote:Yes, also an interesting idea.
