There are more than enough shortrace maps on Teerace.
There is also a ranklist like on ddnet.
So all the shortrunners who claim can play there.
We don't need more shortrace servers.

Mmh, one arguement to start that server is that people in the whole world can play Race, but now you say that they just can play certain types and aren't allowed to play the other ones? Sry, but this doesn't make sense for me.

Maybe add short races later on, but dont give points for them, just rank points

So how many people want to try a 30+ sec map 1000 times to get every move perfectly? 30 secs of speedrace are endless and watch all the videos on youtube.. usually 5-15 sec maps, rarely longer than 30 secs.

Thinking about the short races you still need to do like 10-20 moves (hook, rocket, whatever) and if 1 fails you have to restart. A map that lasts 45 sec or 1 minute, what you likely want to add, is more than 100 moves that can screw your time.

Imp, if you dont wanna speedrun those maps its your thing...you dont have to do a perfect rum, but if you wanna get rank1 youll have to try. Also the race server is more for improving skills in finishing parts, the speedrace feeling is just something you can have when you try to finish it perfectly...
And imp, if you wanna take 30mins to play a 6 sec map to do it perfectly or try 30mins to race a 1min map very good, still the same time to spend on the server also there will be enough maps and also difficult ones that take some time, dont worry...

And hi_leute_gll: you are allowed to play every type of race, just go on a server where you can find the races you wanna play. Right now ddrun is for reviving the old long maps maybe shortruns will come later on.

Just that I will finish the 6 sec map 100 times more often making it 100 times more fun. If you want to improve your skills then you play a long race map. A 1 minute map isn't really made to improve your skills and also not really made to be speedrunned because that's only for the masochists
