I like you and all, but you just don't get it, right? Just above you there's a long post about how he loves this kind of map. There is no "best for DDNet", there is "what we staff think is best for DDNet".

Just stop with saying "we will do what's best for the DDNet community, we do what they want". No, no you don't. You do what you want. And that's fine, deen handed over DDNet to you, but stop making things up, please.

So map was not rejected, but not giving points anymore, I like this compromise decision.
Its even possible to realize every opinion in 1 system? Ofcourse no, @hannibal. Most of players dont like this kind of maps, so Onion and admin team found a compromise. Everyone who like 2long, still able to play and enjoy it, but ppl who dont like it no longer have to play annoing for them maps for getting points from this type(unlikely for many ppl) of maps.

So its not right to make decision based on 1 ppl opinion. Hmm, seen somewhere thread with discussion about bad maps vote, cant found it...

If he loves that, that means he likes playing that no matter what, no? then, why he cares about points? I think onion is watching this more in general than for every single person.

Maybe i expressed myself wrong

You just missed the point, that's all. My point is the new admin team saying multiple times how they're doing things like the community wants them but not a single decision or announcement has had any kind of community involvement by now.

I get that they don't want to make polls and stuff, but if you're not going to do them, don't say you do what the community wants just to look good.

@Forris, @hannibal, your words are trues, but anyone can criticize. Instead of this, lets try to found a better solution, also polls was discussed in previous posts.

Your current position remind me situation in my country, where some people want better life, but dont want to do nothing for this, they want just get it from nowhere.

Polls was already overtalked, wont make quotes for ppl who wont read the hystory of this thread before posting this kind of messages...
Just my opinion about polls:
SpoilerShow
Ingame polls : i`m on side of current decision, cuse ppl who going to decide which bad, which good is much more competent in this question then random ppl(most of them) who going to vote it ingame, so ingame voting - bad idea.
About this site vote : not many ppl want to found really true vote for tons of maps already released. But I think thats would be good to make some pols for midle maps (not bad, not good) to see if ppl like it or not, but ofcourse decision still shoud make competent tester/moder with counted opinions of players.
93 time again : results may be falsely easy...
So the best solution, imo, its : make big group of competent experienced players, who will decide about each different map

Edit : currently released 1328 maps, so how many time need to get each opinion about every map?

Let's see what happens at first. Everything done can be reversed again. So if there is a decision with many complains, it wont hurt for a long time.

Decisions about maps like 2long are rather easy, so a poll would be a time waste and so would some other polls be.

Just see what happens, the last thing we want to do is to hurt the community ;) (and ofcourse we will talk with the community about the changes)

edit: @BannZay: mostly we don't even have enough people to decide about release/no release, so it is hard to make this decision at all. If it is easy, a single person can decide. If somebody is not sure, he can talk with others about it.
