The deleting and banning without anyone seeing it is a good point of them. It's not "nonsense".

I suggest you guys don't completely delete posts but just delete their content and leave a message "inappropriate post, deleted" or something.

I like your idea hannibal, but on the other hand moderators should still see original content - which for the moment is not possible by handling it the way you mentioned. Gonna try to make it possible or at least to figure out similar thing.
