with race tho just doing a map shouldn't give you set points

I think that this server should get own point system. This mod works otherweise than DDrace.

After thinking about it. Ddnet should only add long races to ddnet. Maps that take at least 30-45 seconds to speedrun. The map should have tele or kill tiles in, this means shortruns should never be added. Some maps I can think of from the top of my head that would work are run_pencil and run_around_the_world. Haven't played race much since inspire servers went down but if Broken is still in possession of the long race vote list, there were some really good maps in there.

Converting some fly maps to race maps would be cool as well. Like flyway to the batcave.

I am for normal points system

The race server should have an own point system (or no points at all :o) and the maps should be only longruns (>2:50 min racetime). We can add a few fly maps, but then we would have to move a few released maps to the new race server as well (2+2=green, fly out of hell, Autumn Sunset etc).
I already collected some good old race maps and fixed them, Welf and Forris searched for releasable maps too.
So, there's still hope. Eventually we'll have a race server :3

Maybe a system with registered time, for example, bronze, silver and gold medal reffered to a time that's each medal reward a different amount of points to the player. I'ts a race so medal system isn't uncommon for this kind of play.

So we can also release tele-gores maps there?
