So... you're saying that people/ player don't give a shit about the map and its quality (which seems like true if you peek into the DDMaX category) they're playing even if it's shit... and in the next sentence you say that tunezones are shit, which shouldn't even care you if you hold on to your argument. (Btw I also see some players enjoying new stuff and why should you stop the development of great gameplay concepts (would be the same thing when edgehook/jump weren't a thing (loooong time ago), but now they're in almost every map... so why do you want to stop the next step?))

Vanilla means CTF/DM btw... (DDRace is a Mod ;) ) I get so much hate for this... should I delete it?... mmmh no.
And yeah... I know not everyone likes Tunezones/Jetpack/Walljump/Edgehooks/Freezejumps/Gores/Edgejumps/Laser/Grenade/Shotgun... even Hook or Unhook... but the're are still map releases omg o.O
I just hope that the quality will stay that high as it is in the moment jk
Ps: i have to edit this post 4-5times... i think thats the new way to communicate
PPs: I didn't say anything about the map... it could be a DDMaX map (And you know my opinion on this topic)

What I meant with tunezone is that the map dosn't need to be "creative" to be good imo.
- seems like every map needs something compleatly new, never seen before or it aint accepted by the mapper rules.
But look at Handifly. Litually the most creative map ever. Allmost every part has never been seen before. but the thing is, nobody knows how to do it or its too hard, so they dont play it. For me Handifly is litually one of the easiest maps ever. If you've asked me 6 months ago, the map would be impossible for me, but as soon as you learn the tricks its so extremely easy.
Oh ye, and we got about 2k maps or so on DDNet? try finding just 1 map that is as creative as the mapper rules wants it to be.?
I bet that you wont find any map that dosnt have at least 1 part that has been "copy & pasted" from some other map.
99% of the people in the world dosn't like changes, they stick to what they know. I mean why do you keep playing teeworlds ?? Because you know & like the game right?. You dont try out 100 games new day, you dont eat something you've never eaten before every day.

I know that some people are like that tho !! I got one friend that has like 10k games on steam.
I mean sure I would love something like moving blocks, moving freeze or something, but sadly that aint possible :(.. but I really dislike tunezone, first you have to figure out how it works and you wont be able to use what you've learned in any other map since its diffrent in every map.
Just look at the finishes on maps with tunezone, it really aint what people prefare playing.
and what i mean with "vanilla" is the original ddrace. (without tunezone, jetpack & walljump)

Firt of all, yes kbeer is a famous mapper but to be honest themix or Silex have more fame then him - way more.
Now the question why this map only needed 1month while other need a half year.

1.Difficulty : testing a map also means testing the gameplay not only bugs. Not every tester is able to test a brutal 3-5 map (hi themix/silex). So easy gameplay = more testers who can test.
2. Lenght : this map is a pretty short map = less testing
Themix/silex have usually very long maps.

Every easy and short map always get much finishers in short time after release.

there is also randomness in how fast the testing goes, and yes easy short maps obviously don't take as much time.
also since there was a bit of drama on the thread it dragged the attention..
"Zoe" by 2 "unknown" mappers needed 4 days before getting releasable, GetSpeed by "Konsti", 6 days.. but I guess we tested 4 NoooBs faster because KbeeeR is such a mapping legend! :roll: :roll:
and ye the opinions were torn but some people liked the map, ddnet isn't an elitist server as far as i know
if you think it was wrongly rated, you're free to suggest a new rating instead of directly complaining about the map and irrelevant kbeeer-related stuff

i was using Themix and silex as example the map newbee by pixel has been in testing since January its novice easy test right? this is what i dont get and as aaa said its half the reason it got released fast because its KBeer

Newbee was full of bugs it was very often tested but they always found new bugs...
I think it was pixels first map so these maps often have mutch bugs, kbeer is a mapper with mutch experience so ofc he wont make many bugs= less testing
