Stop judging things you don't know or have no idea how it's working.

You are a toxic young man, I am pretty sure the attitude you have (and not only you) is part of the reason deen is quitting today ddnet.
Maybe one day you'll learn what is respect, cause apprently, you've never even heard of that work so far...

It was not even meant to be negative, I just wanted to show with this, that I can help where i can and especially there I migh be able to take some work over..

My TW servers are running since a lot of time and I don't take time to do anything with them.

Anyway, right now, the best solution would be to completely make ddnet an autonomous server, without any connection to extern databases like it was designed to be and then, it should take practically no administration time.

releasing maps needs no administration.. people come and make maps. they even test it.. only 1 admin need 15 min time to release it worldwide
points are automated i think so :S

Well, my plan is, to make a server that run with little to no administration as I have no time for this right now.

First : I'll get as many servers running as needed using the data I have from ddnet.
That means : no more website, no more forum. But everything else should be nearly up to date : saves/points/records etc...

Somebody should PM gr33nt3a, who proposed taking DDNet over and told us he's a software developer.

We can even keep the servers running as they are, apart from restarting them after crashes (which is scripted anyway, isn't it?), they should be able to run without updates until we organise some kind of team... it's better than shutting them down or reducing DDNet to a normal unconnected server, I think.

Btw. The website and forum are probably automated (unless you want to make a tournament or something), so they shouldn't be a problem. From the necessary things, map uploading is unfortunately rather manual. It's not very hard, but it takes time and might lenghten up in case of any mistake.

Well, that's what I ideally want to do, but haven't found anyone suitable to give the data to. The current admins don't want to or can't do that.

Why not me then, (okay if you don't) I am a good organizer and we could just make a big admin group to help out, and all can do what they do best :D All these loving players don't want ddnet to just...

vanish. :o
Because you are 11 yo and you can't manage servers
