Design is really nice and the map looks interesting. I heard that mapper wants to extend it a bit, could be released some time.

You call that block map?
Not really.... its more a short but medium ddrace map with that block scene at section 2. I suggest, build that new and release it as medium ddrace map or do everything except a special race part as block map.
AND! give a reweard at end and teleport to start (or after solo part because of the shields....)
but it looks great!

PS: tried on my own server and the block scene is much fun, but its not cool that you have to du this solo race before..... and then getting killed by team blockers....
