(not) Worth it.

Hey guys,

yesterday evening happened something bad here. Our Admin deen did a mistake and released an untested map. Ofc mistakes can happen, but instead of excusing for that he started to flame those people who are working hard every day to improve DDNet & keep it in a good state (and to save his ass).

As some of these persons we are really sad about that. Just imagine you're investing much time (too much) in a thing and then a guy comes to you and flames you for his fault. In the meanwhile of saying that iMTG is doing a great job he said things like iMTG is against DDNet or that Saavik is executing DDoS-attacks on the servers. We don't need to explain that this is ridiculous - iMTG as well as Saavik wouldn't invest so much time into DDNet if we would want to destroy it.

All in all we are very sad about the situation and lost our hope that it can be better some time. It seems like it isn't worth to invest so much time, if we are just destroying DDNet.

Sincerely
hi_leute_gll, Soreu and the members of iMTG

Im 'corneum your problem with hi_leute_gll has nothing to do with the current problem imtg is talking about.

I do not know anything about this what happened yesterday evening and I'm not able to rate it in any way but pls stay on topic and don't prejustice hi_leute_gll and iMTG for unrelated problems in the paste between you and hi_leute.

That's a bad way of discussing. Don't wonder if you will not be taken serious in the future.

kamilletee i just wanted to show that hi_leute_gll made almost the same thing to another person, and i never saw any regrets from him. so he is the last one who has to complain. Its the same situation, but now hi_leute is the victim.

sorry if this discussion looks childish, but i mean it dead serious.

Forris is a lying idiot, don`t trust him corneum :D
hi_leute_gll what is your problem?
if somebody tests a map you always complain if he didnt find all bugs (you complained to me because of this multiple times, Lady Saavik did the same). It is just annoying, so deen told you to stop.
The bugs weren`t too big, the map was finishable.
I think if you are not that experienced with testing you do mistakes, you miss something etc. but you learn from these mistakes ;).
When i miss some bugs at testing i feel bad sometimes, if then others tell me that i suck at testing i feel even worse, thats not how we should deal with it.

Welf, stay on the topic, pls. I didn't say anything about mistakes, wich can happen while testing.

Since then can a mapper decide that a map is releasable?
I didn't saw the latest version.
Welf wrote:even i tested the map, i dont think that it was a test full run (and it wasnt close before release)
You count that?

Nevertheless this is just one sentence of the post...and not even the most important one.

You all take this "game" (for most people it's probably not anymore, but we will never mind this fact for now) way too serious. It's supposed to be like this: "You join" - "You play" - "You enjoy it". It seems like you guys confuse this game with work. And miss the enjoy part.

Btw. leute guy, i've never seen something that immature like this post. Where is the whole point in saying this? You are simply badmouthing deen. We all know that we are not flawless, we have our more and less good traits and bad days. Live with that.
And simply stop "working" if you don't think it is worth your time. Be a man and do things. Stop talking. Wasting your time here, if you say it's not worth it. Seriously.

So what are you trying to get at with this post? Is it a vent thread or are you guys leaving?

If it is a resignation thread:
