Teeworlds on Steam

Hey, so to all of those who did not know,

The dev of teeworlds finally submitted it to steam greenlight. The greenlight page is mostly focused on vanilla TW, but the DDR community has grown to be huge so let's show some support with a shit ton of up votes! It can be found here: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/f ... =teeworlds

This has great potential to increase the playerbase of this game!!

Thats really cool.

I dont know how steam is handeling mods. Maybe its possible to publish ddnet as a teeworlds mod.

Yessssss finally !!! i wanted this all time, if is accepted more people will play!! And steam can count the hours you play so... i never knew how many hours i played tw xD

You can always use Xfire and manually detect Teeworlds.

There were already a thread where laxa asked about opinions about that. (It was before the decission was made.)

While most people just spamed the 'Yes'-button without reading the thread, the most people who posted something were against it and had very good reasons for it.

I have to agree with hi_leute.
It might sound good to add Teeworlds to Steam but there are many reasons why it might be bad for us :o
So, I'm still completely against it!

Teeworlds is probably going to be on steam no matter what now.
You have to think about it and deal with it, cause player from steam will be able to play on ddnet.

The problem is that DDNet gots his own game in the game - It's not even a simply Mod.
So while bringing Teeworlds on Steam can be good vor the vanilla section, for that game in the game wich has rather too much than too less players, it can get very bad. But yes, as you mentioned, we can't stop it. So the only choice we have is to think about how to deal with it and find a good way before it happens.
