What makes a run map?

So, im making a run map atm, and i have to be carefull it dosnt fit for solo servers insted.
i can't use shotgun, laser on the run_ map right?, not too much hook etc??

Yeah, no features except hook/unhook/kill, grenade and tele - you can place laser/shotgun but it has no real effect.
Not too much hook is not entirely true. For instance run_keksi 1st stage is hook-only. And some other maps have very tiny hook stuff too. Also 30 sec runs usually have some hook tiles so you can speedrace them better. As far as I know you can map what you want

maybe search some guys on youtube (i don`t know that many names, search e.g. for "Skizz runs" or "died runs"), there you see how the gameplay should be
the gameplay in a long map is sometimes different to the gameplay in a middle
