Hello guys, I don't really know if this is the right place to post/ask for this, but, anyone has any information about what is happening with DDnet Brazil servers?... Why does it keep off? will it come back?... Thanks very much for any information you've got... Sorry about the english and have a Good Game!...

What will happen to DDNet Brazil ?
Sadly we have lost contact to Soyer & RafaelFF which means that we will probably remove brazilian servers from ddnet.

Yes ofcourse, if you have contact to Soyer or RafaelFF you could ask them to contact us. Maybe you could even sponsor a server yourself. And yes, we are always open to recommendations for a new good host, so do not hesitate and show that you love DDNet

That's sad I think... well, only svs I know frome here (renamed ones) are:

"Localstrike" (Most popular CS 1.6 host around here) http://www.localstrike.com/

"Patan" (ImperiumAO host (Mmorpg), has been hosting it for more than 6 years, almost 1000 players online at the same time)

I have seen them both work for some years, but latelly, I don't know how are they working, but im gonna ask which sv are using on Ao's latelly...

EDIT: Also, I've found Wiroos it's giving VPS servers, Wiroos have benn hosting "Taringa" for the last years (downloads page, kinda south-american 4chan, now become a "social network" cause of copyright laws) https://wiroos.com/argentina/

EDIT 2: After a little "research" I've found that IAO has been having many connection problems and it's now using public proxys for solving it, their player numbers have come down a lot (from 1000 to 400-500), I think they were using net4play host, but can't find an official page, maybe it it's death...

I think most of them are not so good... (soy español )

Really don't know about them, I never had to host a game, I was just looking for opinions (and bassed on experience in games I played)... Thanks Ryozuki, I don't even know the needs for a DDnet sv...

EDIT: Anyway, next year I'll be working, and I may have little chance to help finance a sv, So, if you guys give opinions and help, we may have a new sv, I' ll be glad to have any help and opinions from you ... Thanks a lot

Well in order to run DDNet on a server we need ssh access and the OS should preferably be Debian or Ubuntu, however we also have one server with CentOS running.
