Some players using collision line all time and pressing BUTTON with escape is just useless moves.
Would be cool to have command without plus at start of command. Hopefully you got what I mean =))

I dont like the idea of having more people using hookcoll all the time. Right now its already possible to keep the hookcoll but its uncomfortable, so just some are using this. And thats good imho.

What exactly is the issue here? I don't have to hold any key to show permanent hookcoll. I just press the bind and the line stays there until I deactivate it with another key.

@kamilentee, so making some possibility of "private" hookcoll, would be nice too. For me coll line is very helpfull to use all the time.
@hannibal, so can you just share your bind? Becouse, results of trying to found this for me - is few new not important teeworlds bugs =)

Press f1 while holding the hookcoll key. Release the hookcoll key. Close console. Fee free to annoy me finally.

I think I'm working with a small bug.

I have the same bind twice, once on my mouse (mouse8) and once on keyboard (Q).

When I click mouse8, hookcoll appears and stays.

When I press Q, it stays as long as I hold and then disappears. :p

So try to bind it on your mouse!

But generally, shouldn't this work too?: bind x toggle +showhookcoll 0 1

That's intentionally not possible. The client asks the server for permission to show hook collisions, so that server administrators can decide to disable the function if they consider it a cheat. Other people can use cl_show_other_hook_coll 0 though and they will only see their own hook collisions.

Additionally, can you explain why my weird bug works?

Dunno, there are some bugs with the mouse buttons, probably inherited from how SDL works.

I guess caring about thing such this just forsing ppl to use some modification of ddnet.
But, whatever, why just not made other posibility to use "private" hookcoll ofcourse after gotting permission from server for this to not annoy ppl?

The problem of cl_show_other_hook_coll 0 is players who using hookcoll not all time but only for attent on some things. So ppl wont use this command
