The skin is very pixeled, that doesn't look that nice, but the idea is good.

Yes, i dont have any program, i use a website which works good.... good enough. i have also made "Greyshades" with that website and it went to the skin database.

just download photoshop cs5 if you want to make some skins i guess?

gimp is better because is free and easyer to use

Neither gimp or photoshop is good for vector graphics.

Adobe Illustrator or CorelDRAW are the 2 I'd recommend for vector graphics. However if you want a free program I'd suggest Inkscape.

The best is Gimp.
But for dont have pixel you can size the image at the start for a better resolution and resize the image to the normal size at the end.
