I would try to organize tournaments for the next time on DDNet.
But I have the problem that i have no knowledge how to do it.
If somebody teach me how to do it I would try it.

Re: Tournament Organisation
I think we should care about maps releases before tournament organization.

Re: Tournament Organisation
But that's not what he wants to do. So decline his request? No! DDNet needs to learn to accept help (isn't that the point of an open source project).Ryozuki wrote:I think we should care about maps releases before tournament organization.
Here's someone who wants to help - not about the topic that you think is most important, but still wants to help. Yes! Please! Someone else might want to help with map releases. Yes! Please!
Re: Tournament Organisation
For tournaments there are basically two separate things to be done: 1. Doing community stuff which includes finding a good map and informing everyone about the tourney. This is something nearly everyone with acceptable englishskills could do. 2. The technical part: This is where things get complicated. Basically you need to remotecontroll all tourneyservers you previously set up and additionally you have to do some nice broadcasts.

Re: Tournament Organisation
I never said that "we" ddnet should decline that. But i said my opinion that solving map releases shoud be done before this.
