Hi. What's the difficulty level of ddmax maps? I know that novice is easier than moderate and moderate is easier than brutal; But I don't know what ddmax is for.

DDMax something like Oldschool server.

DDmax should be pretty much the same as Moderate, just more annoying to play (it's the maps from DDmax server before DDnet was "founded"). Oldschool is ways harder and failier (basically maps that are 5+ years old)

Although you can't compare Race with the rest. There are many 3-5* race maps are impossible for most people, even those who can finish brutal maps.

Right, it's just a rough estimate.

• Race maps intentionally give lower points so that players don't feel forced to collect points there
• Oldschool and DDmaX give lower points because they host old maps and new ones should get more focus

I think Oldschool maps give a quite decent amount of points though. Only 1-2* maps seem to be "unbalanced", but for me a 3* Oldschool map often is same difficulty as 1-2* brutal (Hardcore 7 = 18 points, not really harder than a 1* brutal map)
