Deen, could you host all DDraceNetwork Maps on a Github repo. The maps.zip is (often) very outdated. And i guess its easier to add new maps to Github then to compress (and upload )zip for every map. Btw could you also add the vote config. Its hard to add every addvote line by hand if you want to make an own server

Also, from what I know github is for open source projects, not for distributing 200 MB of binaries.

I think you shouldn't combine them, but you could do "exec novice/votes.cfg" and so on. I do something like this: https://github.com/def-/ddnet-scripts/b ... xvotes.cfg

And the maps are really not all you need to host a DDNet server. I'm not really planning to host packs to make your own DDNet server though.

Something like Google drive is also an option. Because the hosting space just need two features
* add files
* easy sync or compress to a zip

Therefor Github would be perfect for doing things like that. But if its not allowed...

i didnt want to host an own ddnetserver. The official ones should suffice. Sometimes i host a localhostserver for test things. But without votes you cant use /map. (I guess )

You need a database for /map. Just use change_map in rcon.
