Well, I think ddnet need moderators, it's nearly impossible to kick a blocker on a server that has a lots of players.

So, I am thinking moderators should have access to these commands :
- status
- force_spec
- maybe kill_pl but not sure though.
- mute

I don't know if ddnet should forbid bad language or not too, it's up to what you think.

So, tell us what you think about having moderators on ddnet, tell us which people you wanna see moderators if so.

I personally propose myself as a moderator !

In South Africa some people already have rcon, not sure if they are doing anything with it.

In Chile I would give mod to Ferzak and FUMOFFU.

I think it's really important that you talk to "blockers" first. Often they don't think they're blocking themselves, just fighting back on other blockers. When someone is in the first part it's not so bad to spec them, but after finishing half the map already, you have to think twice about whether to force-spec.

About bad language: When someone annoys you in the way they write, you can always mute them in your client directly.

Oh, and if I ever catch a moderator abusing their power, they're out immediately.

Well nice, then make a public list of moderators.

Also need to make public list of rules somewhere, so everyone is aware of them.

I just had a discussion with the official DDNet advisor and we're both pretty much against moderators. We think it would create a hierarchy of power. Players who know moderators would feel protected and could behave badly without getting punished.

@laxa: You will definitely not become a moderator. Yesterday you wanted me to abuse my powers to find out who someone was.

- almost 24/7 online
- good english
- always trying to be a nice person
- good self control, would not use powers out of impulse/ emotion

downside:
- no idea how these rcon commands work

I suggest Lady Saavik & myself.
You might think my "jihad Jihad" & "Nigga" is imature, but if I became moderator I would of cause never abuse my powers, and only use them to make DDNet a better place. I got lots of expierence being forum moderator @ D2jsp.org, & game master @ Heroesofnewerth.com.
