Too many groups/layers = server lags?

I'm working on a map and I will probably need 30+ groups and 150+ layers. Will this make the server lag?

The server only uses the game layers (game, front, switch, tune, speedup, tele) and does not load graphical layers, images and sounds at all. So no problem for the server, but the client instead. I'd mostly be worried about increased RAM usage.

I just counted: Lockdown has ~70 layers and 30 groups. My computer is pretty old and I never had lags while playing that map. Are there any players who had issues with playing Lockdown?

For me Lockdown takes 3 seconds to load and then DDNet client needs 421 MB of memory, which can be too much for someone with an old machine with just 512 MB or 1 GB of RAM. For comparison Kobra 4 loads in less than a second and DDNet client needs 94 MB of memory.

Yeah, Lockdown takes long to load for me as well, but I was rather interested if this also affects gameplay or only the time it takes to load the map? Also the size of my map is going to be under 1000x1000

Pretty much every map I play takes the same amount of time to load, 1 or less than 1 second.
It won't lag the server, just the clients. If you do make this map put as many layers in detail as possible, so people can turn off some.
