how do u try a map you are making to see if it works. and where are the tele tiles

Right-click on the game group -> Add Tele Layer.

Furthermore you can also read the tutorial about making a basic ddrace map and the Mapping ABC.
So even if this wasn't your exact question, I'm sure you'll find the right answer in the Tutorial section :3
