I wish I could be a good map tester.

I already test some maps with the mappers, but I am not enough, ...

I write this poster here now, because there are not much map testers, and I want be one of them, the official ddnet map testers.
I know much people do test maps, but the maps often need to get tested from an official tester to get "released".

There is this one problem:
The map from known mappers, like Aoe, Spyker, Themix, fikmesan and more, most time get more tested than the maps from´not known mappers. This is because the testers think that the not known mappers are not that good like the known mappers, and that they make more mistakes. Often the testers don't even give the mappers tips or sadly not even a chance. BUT you all guys know that EVERYONE can do a great map, but for that, they need motivation. And, you can't get motivated to make a map, if someone tells you, that your map is bad!
This is why the maps from the not known mappers get less tested.

I want to be a tester because I know how it feels to get ignored by the official testers, and I want help the new mappers to get a mapping legend!

Now you guys will say:"Öhm ... you can test maps without being a tester."

STOP this thoughts, because with this sentence we will get fewer and fewer mappers.

You can test maps without beeing a tester

i agree with Pixel. Im wating for my map to be tested for nearly 3 weeks. jao says ist ready to be released, but has to be tested by another tester. (waiting)

I don't want to argue with you about it, you seem to have no idea about map testing
and yes, you can test maps without beeing a tester, recently jao tested alot of map so he got the "Tester" tag
this post wont change your tag nor your testing skills

I want to say, that testers with this tags are more popular because, an example: your map can get tested 1000 times by normal players but can't get released if there is no tester who say it is releasable, and i want to help that you can do more "final tests"

Then you should learn testing instead of making a post like this xD
we wont trust your "ready for release" until you showed us that you know alot about testing

-.- as i said i sometimes do test maps with the mapper on the server ... and the mapper do instantly fix the bugs.

But whatever, I will test more maps now!
