Since we have so many rules about maps, i think i have to re-suggest something:
A server where we put maps, which are interesting, but not good/normal/playable/balanced enough to give points for a finish.
The idea of this is, that we give mapping skills a chance to get seen and to go a step away from the point system. Ofcourse this server should not be there to spam bad maps. I as a map tester often saw maps, which are good, but not good for a release, hence i would like to have such a server, since it would show about the art of mapping and is against the point-hunting.

Here you can discuss and ask about this idea.

Yeah totaly agree with Welf, already wrote something like this in the map "Help Teeworlds" there are just a few maps which arent fitting the normal servertyps.

And we could mabye get some awesome maps which are especially for this kind of server.

I really like this idea, and I also like the idea of adding these Extreme Servers.
More server categories always mean more complexity and I'm sure there are also negative aspects about this, but for me it's both a nice addition.
So +1, let's soon play on TRASH and EXTREME servers .__.

I guess you don't really mean a trash-server, but a "special" server for e.g. adventure-maps or maps which are rather tech-demos than a map?

I have been "working" on a practice map - basically a gym for teeworlds players.
I intended to just post about it on the forums, but if this becomes a thing, I guess there would actually be a server type where it would fit.

(If it ever actually becomes a thing. My lack of motivation and the terrible editor work against me )

I would like to call it Graveyard, since the Server ist also based on people disliking these maps. But yes hi_leute_gll it is not there to release Bad maps, instead it is there to show good, unliked maps. A more recently example: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=4374
That map reminded me to the idea of this server.
