About the topic, I don' think that it's really necessary, its better to just download it and it also prevents a lot of unintended bugs and issues.

There is no ingame updater on Mac and Android. Only for Windows and Linux.

new update idea: delete rcon login for do rcon permission for private servers. only ddnet servers would be have login PLS! i cant test my maps because of shit login on rcon!! ;CCCC
