Mapsound volume (as a mapper)

It would be nice to have some way to turn up or down the volume of a sounzone.
because i have one zone that is too loud when you can barely hear the other one.

What about using an envelope with only 1 point at a lower volume?

Why is the default value for sound envelopes set to 0 instead of 1?

I don't really understand what you mean but also at the highest map volume the one soundzone is barely to notice.
Maybe I can send you the file so you understand better?

Then just normalize your soundfile before importing it into the map.

I haven't explicitly changed the default points for sound layers back then as it's done for color envs. Feel free to change it (https://github.com/ddnet/ddnet/blob/mas ... 4337-L4349)
