out of nowhere i cant reach rcon, neither on my homeserver nor on my trashmap server anymore. i really hope this is not only for me and i have no clue why this is so. i'm flustered :?:

you tried the basic trashserver password: trashmap

I got exactly the same problem. Changed the password too but it don't work.

After the new client the problem is there again.

i dont know if this is another bug or if that caused the issue here.
every once i a while my client has these funny letters in editor that was also the case when i couldnt enter the console, as i didnt restart between successfully being able to enter the password and simply not, it just so happens some time after starting the client. and after restarting it then, i could enter the PW again and the weird letters were gone
also the letters have been on other places before but i didnt screenshot it because i thought its some kind of feature haha

Sounds like corrupted memory. Can you pinpoint which was the first client that had this problem?

it must have been 10.8.2 then. as i updated yesterday and it didnt happen again so far i can't surely say something about 10.8.3
(also i got no notification from the client that there is a new version)

That happens when you once started baumalein. It disables autoupdate in ddnet client.
