Cartoon 2 by Im 'corneum and fikmesån [Novice 4*]

what can i say? the first one was kind of popular, now lets hope the second one will too! :)
please keep in mind that novice players are bad, not stupid. i think they can handle weird tile-usage.

Found one missing marking. Also you can easily skip last part (I'm mentioning it only because the proper way is kinda hard to figure out and that's awesome, make 'em use brain).

- Unmarked unfreeze.

- Entire area here should be 'no hammer' to prevent throw. Also you need to make the part longer (like 10tiles longer), cause it's still possible to throw even without hammer.

Nice map, i had a few suggestions and questions.

why can you throw people in the hole there, that is only nice for trolling. nothing more. you can even fail them.

this part is way too buggy, dunno if i did something wrong but i couldn't make it like it should i guess.

It wasn't at all. It performed average like every other kinda bad Novice map does. People played it for points and then it got lost.
This map here has some nice ideas, but most of them are mapped for Moderate. Overall it is extremely unbalanced, parts are in a range from about Novice 2-3 to Moderate 2-3.
Many parts are very poorly mapped. Just take a look at the start "room" - you can't even call it room. I know Im 'corneum is able to map such things properly, so I wonder why he didn't do so here. Many parts are tight and/or annoying. Especially on Novice you need much space, since people can't control their tee precisely. Also if there is a group of maybe 10 tees, then this map just doesn't work anymore, since they will block each other until rage quit.

i dont really know whats the problem with the startroom. maybe you think the map itself is ugly? in that case i can just say that fikmesan wanted it so, i wanted to ask ravie for a better design but fik said it wouldnt fit as a cartoon2 anymore, so i just made it like the first one.
anyhow, i tried to make more space here and there. also multiplied tele 6 because it messes with solo.

Agree with hi_leute_gll. It's neither a good Moderate nor a good Novice map. You could replace the easy parts with harder ones to turn it into a Moderate map, but I guess it wouldn't fit as a second Cartoon then. Thus declined for now.

The moderate parts could really work well if you put them in a Mod 2-3*, add a few more of them, connect them nicely with filler parts and so on. I know you can map such a thing properly (see Dummy Chamber).

Played the map again and found maybe 2-3 hooks that are a little harder and imo there's nothing wrong with it (mapper could easily adjust them a bit). I don't know where exactly do you see Moderate 2-3* parts, but as you say that most of the parts are moderate, then I guess you just have no sense of difficulty at all.
Also there is more than enough space. You should try to play novice sometimes to see how tight maps can be, though I've never seen anyone complaining about lack of space. People aren't playing these maps to judge them, but to learn something, and this map is definitely good for that, lel.

I can assure you it would work. It's not brutal. Also '/team' isn't a secret for higher novice players.

He would need to change 90% of the map then xD I guess it would be better to change literally 2 things and make it novice, but idk it's just me..
