Higher ping on GER server?

Some people who have Deutsche Telekom as their provider, have higher ping on our new GER server, especially in the evening. Mine jumps from the normal 20 to 30 and sometimes even 120. Are there any people who are with Deutsche Telekom but still have low ping? Any other ping problems with the new server?

Apparently some people from France have a similar issue, where the ping is high during the day and low at night.

I'm with Swisscom (CH) and I have that problem! God it is annoying. Normal ping: 43 and when I press Tab, most of the time it shows that. But every 5-10 seconds it jumps to 120 for a few moments.

Is it better when you ping ger.ddnet.org or gerdf.ddnet.org on the command line?

Type "ping" in F1 to see your real ping right? Scoreboard isn't accurate imo

It's the opposite imp.
Or you can say that none is accurate too, better use ping command outside of teeworlds.

And even that isn't always accurate, because often ICMP packets get favored and you still end up with a worse ping in a UDP based game!
The best indication of ping and network stability for me is ctrl-shift-d and then read the pred value. It's how much into the future your tee is predicted, e.g. how delayed you see the other tees move.

I get back to you when I'm at home. I never checked my ping in another way than by pressing tab, you'll have to explain to me.
