[NOVICE]GreenAde - First map ever.

Hello Guys!

I'm kinda new on this forum, but i'm an old TW player. Yesterday I finally tried something in Map Editor,
and here are results.

It's short, DDRace map for 2 players, or to play with dummy. It's my veeery first map, so don't expect
anything from it. :)

Took a quick look in editor:
  • You have to embedd gras_main_0.7.
  • For the text you should use quads. (looks better)
  • If you make a block hooktrough you have to place a collision- or unhookable-tile, too. If not, people can go through it.

OK, I've just uploaded repaired version, there is Collision tile under Hookthrough.

What about text tiles - I don't really understand, why it is deformed in that weird way.
I don't like envelopes for making text entities, because there is no way of making Real-3D looking letters.

zio, he means you should put the text in a quad layer, so you can strech it as you want

And you don't get the buggy effects at the tile boundaries.

Ahh, you're right guys! I'm just so hardly new in mapmaking. Thx for that advice! :D

You switched between two grey tiles for the freeze, some freeze is light and other freeze tiles are darker, maybe make them all the same freeze tile?
And check again for graphic bugs, there are some corners missing, the background grass main is a bit bugged and some doodoads are standing half in the air.

The parts are so boring and easy that with the good graphics it really makes fun to play!
It would be Novice 1 star, it's short easy and boring (relaxing) :) Perfect for beginners :P

Btw. the new version isn't on the servers, so i didn't took screens of the throughhook bugs, because you said it's fixed
