New entitie suggestion:

Hey DDnet
I have some cool ideas for new entities:
my first suggestion is an entity like "jetpack" (with on/off and so) but with an other feature. if you have this "status" on, then you cant hook yourselfe to colisions entities. so the hole map is unhookable for you.
Next suggestion: why cant we make, that the switch is also switchable by gunprojectiles? that would be cool for some archery stands.
then the next suggestion is an animation trigger entitie. simply described: if you pass the entitie an animation will start/end/change animation. I think with this you can make a cool, interactive background design.
you may ask yourslfe, why did I have this ideas and for what did i need this: I want to make a map who is inspired by Zelda. with dungeons, items like hook, bow etc.

For last picture u dont need an entitie. Because its a graphical thing and almost all is possible with graphics. Even such animation u have decribed.
First entities is IMHO useless. Why can't you just use unhookables.
The second is the most useful I guess. But I have no idea for what exactly.

First thing is a ok idea but will anyone use this ?

this is like the most suggested thing ever but its no compatible with vanilla client at all

I think the first suggestion is kinda useless, none will use it. And you can already do a similar thing. Just copy the part (or even the whole map), make one with unhookable, the other one with hookable stones and place some teles. You can do that as many times as you want, and if you play alone without entites, you will not even notice the tele :p Ye, it's complicated to do and the map is rather messy but it's possible.
The second thing would be awesome, maybe it will be possible one day (:
The last idea is an always wanted feature as Ama already wrote. Unfortuantely it's not that easy to implement. You can do a very basic thing like that with Clipping (right click on a layer and change values), the layer/quad will only appear within the red square then :D

yep i noticed that... but if the map is 1000x1000 big and then copy the hole map is just... bad for the server...and client.

I just wanna ask you: is the soundfeature also compatible to the vanilla client? cause if its not why caht we add it like the soundtiles?

It isn't.
It's different if you just don't hear the bonus tracks or if you have graphic bugs cause you don't see any quads. I don't know if it is possible to make it not buggy for other clients.

someone requested an entity that is hookable but you can move thru.
