Re: Hall of Fame
They are not bugs, because the author of the map did it just for let players out. And if these are really bugs, all know them, so we can't fix them. I was just doing an example. For me, the careless cheat is a bug, because i'm sure .me don't want this cheating, ( Who want a cheating for skip all parts of the map ) but for me the Hall of Fame is not only the better times of every map, but for me it is a way for see how to complete a map in a more short time, using the brain.
Think about it. All saw the open wall in Careless but nobody tryed to cheat. The players of the Hall of Fame did it, maybe just for luck, but they did it and i think we gave them a good awards for this.

I got a record from a guy being dragged through the whole map : this is not skill, and we don't want to promote such run!
You didn't accept my "record" because I was "dragged through" 2 parts so I can actually do the part that requires skill?laxa wrote:You have the first rank in /top5 or in /top5teams
(The actual skip btw) (Which I came up with) I really adore how often DDNet changes their pathetic little rules whenever it benefits them. I'd love for my run to be added to the site and channel for everyone to see and credit all of the people that helped. I actually did quite a bit of the map in order to do the skip (using dummies) it's very silly to not add my time to the hall of fame when I didn't break a single rule you listed on the first page.
Again, you simply stated that you'd accept any record that was made in /top5 or /top5team. My time is the best in /top5 so it qualifies to be added to the channel. If you still don't want to add my record, I'd like an apology and for you to update the rules to make it more clear.
If you do decide to add my run to the channel, give credit to Maple, gragt and Supernanchos for helping me.

Don't worry, this will be done someday !
I would like to add another thing :
We only take records that are made in team if you play ddrace not-solo.

I am pretty sure that you can find someone to make you a video of such "runs".
Thanks everyone, hope you'll have great hollidays (if you have some) and nice christmas/new year time.
Maybe thats why he didnt accept your video skeith

I'm fairly positive he was talking about me, was around the time I sent the demo in and I got "dragged" through some of the map.Ama wrote:Maybe thats why he didnt accept your video skeith
Re: Hall of Fame
Rules are not that clear I agree, so to clarify :
- if you play a 2 players map, you need to start in team of 2 and finish in a team of 2
- if you play solo, you need rank 1 in top 5.

Hall of Fame
I just wonder - wasn't there a link, pointing to the Hall of Fame videos, in the website menu before? Or, if it's just my imagination, maybe we could create one? It would be cool if we could easily watch the best runs on various maps. ^^
EDIT: Oh, sorry, I forgot that there's already a discussion about that. Thank you, whoever moved this to the right topic.

Re: Hall of Fame
But to make it less "boring" all videos would have to be edited first - and for that more ppl are needed...
Nevertheless would be nice imo
