V-sync\Screen tearing\win xp-win 10ping\gfx_asyncrender_old

I have some troubles... What do you think guys about playing with V-sync? Fps 300 is not enough for this game coz of Screen Tearing :c and only with v-sync game seems playable.
Next ^o^ with win xp i had ping 25 on RUS and 40 on GER servers, but now i installed win10(PnP(or something like) off) and have ping 50RUS 50-70GER. + game too laggy with gfx_asyncrender_old 1 atm.
is tw dead for me now??? I tried a lot of things but nothing helped.

U shoukd check the win10 automatic updates... sometimes they start automatically and they use a lot of internet... but unfortunatly u cant block them... u should go back to windows8 or 7 just because the updates are blockable...

nah. guess i blocked all updates.

ping can be high coz of gfx_asyncrender_old 0. But why i had lags with gfx_asyncrender_old 1 after installing win10? btw gfx_asyncrender_old 0 destroed almost all lags but ingame sound still laggy. residentsleeper.

I also play with vsync, hate screen tearing.

About higher ping on Windows 10: Try disabling firewalls, check your ping on localhost server.

firewall off. localhost server ping 15-29. 6-7 if gfx_asyncrender_old 1 but lagssssss.

try to remove your config, try cl_cpu_throttle 0 or 1. What kind of CPU do you have?

looks like cl_cpu_throttle 1 a bit helps, but sound still trying to kill me.

lul) nice question btw.. I have AMD sempron(pron kappa) 2800+ 1.61GHz, anyway 9.3.1 worked without any problems on xp and after installing win10 i completely removed a ton of shitty software. now its works as a xp.

Try snd_buffer_size 8192 or another value. Try snd_rate 44100 and snd_rate 48000. Try cl_threadsoundloading 0.

But I believe the problem is your single core cpu. Download DDNet client 9.3.1 and try gfx_threaded_old 0 and restart the client. Are the lags gone? Maybe you can give DDNet client higher priority in Windows task manager as a workaround.

I played with vsync for 3 years. Now i got a new computer and turned it off. I couldt believe how good i became especialy in gores. I made 4 top10 ranks and speeded so much its amazing
I only have screen tearing when i move very fast, it doesnt matter for me.
Cpu throttle is on 1 it keeps it on 700fps
My brother told me to get g-sync or freesync to get the effect of vsync.
