Two Fish maps!
Hi guys, I have two ddrace maps that I made in my freetime. Now, I am new to this mapping thing and it would be great to get some feedback!
Also, I have no idea how "hard" every map is, I'll make you guys decide on that. Also! I SUCK at graphics, like... that's not my thing. So all the maps are "ugly", but they do explain entities and so on.
Easy and short map ~ Sorry for putting such a "unclean" map here. I have to refine it before I put it up again.
This one is pretty hard, and it is unfinished. I know that doesn't follow the rules (so sorry). I also asked some random people online to test it, so the "beta" part is untested. But that doesn't mean that the parts before that is perfect. The reason why I am posting a half-made map is because I don't know if it is to long and maybe I should finish it fast or build some more on it :) Also I am thinking of renaming it to Fish-Tower. [/s]
At the time I do not think I am confident enough to say that these should be official maps, but maybe after some feedback I can make something real :)

Novice map very short with lots of standard parts (boring) seen on multiple maps.
The design is null and although it may not seem like it, this is an important part, especially for simple maps like this.
Not everyone plays with entities, many players don't even know what it is.
I don't think they release this project in ddnet without a complete redesign considering the level of the current maps.
It has a couple of interesting parts but that's all.
First of all, generic_unhokable and grass_main can be external. The width and length are 300 but you used less than 1/4 of that.
Some teleports touch the ground, some things are not marked (eg solo/unsolo, hammer/unhammer).
The freeze and teleport haven't any edge, just are squares... bad design.
You can go for the rocket, get back to the beginning and do the part again much faster (cheat).
Also mark useful information with entities-off sign.
Some parts are unnecessary and tight.
Anyway, I think the best idea is archive this map and create a new project, after seeing the latest releases.
Also see the tutorials offered by ddnet to improve the gameplay and the design and if possible, show your new project to
A mapper/tester with some experience to guide you in a good way.
For my part, that's all, have a good day.

justafish please only 1 thread per map so map testing doesn't get fucked

The map is on tutorial level but doesn't realy has a learning effect. I would suggest you to add texts, if you want to do such a map.
Basicly make the gameplay more interesting and try to figure out new stuff. Design doesn't realy matter if it's playable and every important entity is marked, but a cool design is always nice. If you can't or don't want to do it by yourself you should ask someone else to do it.

Ps: Wartopeth I know you kinda already said what I screenshoted, but its easier to understand for the mapper if you show him exactly what you mean. Espcially for begginers.

Wow! I am so impressed guys, what a feedback! :D This feedback is way over my expectations, and I agree on all points! I will use all the feedback to create a new map, this map clearly isn't ready for any release ^^.
