[suggestion] Vote option for a random map unfinished by any tee present in game

[suggestion] Vote option for a random map unfinished by any tee present in game

I have an idea of the vote option, which could draw a random map unfinished by any tee present in game. It could have an optional difficulty set in reason - "3" would choose only from maps with 3-star rating, while "<3" and ">3" would select only maps with rating respectively lower and higher than 3 stars. Of course "<3" should be treated like "3>" and ">3" should have the same meaning as "3<". The idea of using inequality signs may be also useful in the "Random map" and "Random map unfinished by vote caller" options we already have.

Well, nice concepts :3
Unfortuantely it might be very hard or even impossible sometimes to find a map which is unfinished by any tee. Imagine a full 64p server and someone votes that option :o So, it should be only possible while in a team but thats hard (or impossible?) to implement ._.
However, I love your suggested addition to Random map' votes and it should be fairly easy to do. So, <x includes all maps of difficulty x and lower, and >x all maps of x and higher difficulty (imo no need to include 3< and 3>) <3

I know that on full server it may not work, but in such situation it could just return a chat message "no such map" and don't punish the voter by a vote timeout.

But it would be extremly useful when there are about 5-10 people on server and they want to change the map because it's too hard/frustrating or all have already finished - I'm often in a situation, especially at night-time, when some tees tries to choose a new map and always end up with one somebody already finished - so I guess that might be a solution. :3

The both ways of writing inequality signs are not necessary, but it's not hard to include them and it could be useful to avoid the need of remembering which one is correct. ^^

Where is the problem for this guy to play this map then?
If the map is good he will have fun...Oh wait, ofc he has to get points, cause without getting points you can't have fun on DDNet...

One can have fun on DDNet without getting points, but it's often more satisfying to play an unfinished map, because of new parts, new design, new look and feel and new experience. And besides, not every tee likes to replay something twice. It's like saying that you can't have fun on DDNet without running for records - everybody have their gamestyle and I don't see anything wrong in playing for points, if somebody is happy with that - then why not? ^^

I understand that it's sad when you want to play a map with somebody who already finished it and doesn't want to replay it, but that person also have its reasons and might not be happy being forced to do it - even personally, I have to admit that I'm playing maps again only from time to time and I usually avoid replaying very hard maps until I got better, because most of the time I want to experience and learn new things more than to have fun of knowing the whole map.
