About aim series..

So I dont really like Aim 1,2,3 & 7.
I would like to remake them and maybe end the series at 10.
I know many people dont want them removed cus of points, rank etc. but in reality they suck.
- there should be a rule that everyone has to do at least 5 maps before release. you only start getting good after some tries imo.
suggestions?

we don't delete maps
and you are not allowed to change the parts (gameplay) without good reasons - we have to remove ranks then

Your maps won't be deleted, cause there isn't any strong reason for.
There are people who made good maps with less than 5 trys, look on Caventure as example.

Allright respectable, no reason to delete, might aswell fill the servers up in my opinion . the more maps the better !
and leute, i could name allmost endless ammount of mappers which maps shouldnt be on ddnet IMO, but i wont cus im not an asshole .
in my case i only started getting good after some tries, people say that all aims is good but their favourites is 4,5,6,8,9,10... so what i wanted to do with this is only make amazing map insted of okay maps.
about caventure, your deffently right. really nice map,but i also bet meliodafu will do some godlike nice maps in the future, even better than this.

If you want to remake the maps, you would need major improvements/changes, i think you should rather make new good maps.

We want to support as many mappers as possible on ddnet, so we release maps, if they don't suck too hard. I also think that mappers learn faster, if they see how people play their maps.

You may have noticed, we've started to have "Selected Maps", which are supposed to be the best 10-20% of maps on DDNet. The iMTG people are making the lists, so far only Novice is finished: http://ddnet.org/ranks/novice/#selected-maps

I hope we will soon have the rest too, then we can refer to selected maps as the best of the best and still keep the not-so-good maps with all their ranks.

On a related note, I would also like to have someone who can sort the "New Maps" into the categories.
