Selected maps

Post by Welf »

I am not sure if i am right here, i want to make a thread where we can make suggestions to the "Selected maps" (http://ddnet.org/ranks/novice/#selected-maps).

My suggestion: add "Awayst" to selected maps (it is a good balanced maps with some nice tune zones)

I hope we will soon have the rest too, then we can refer to selected maps as the best of the best and still keep the not-so-good maps with all their ranks.

On a related note, I would also like to have someone who can sort the "New Maps" into the categories.

Maybe wait until they are finished or it will just mess up.

Disclaimer:
I'm only speaking of maps which I've finished (with the exception of the few at the very end), because at the moment I don't really have time to make a list of all good maps I have ever played. Also, keep in mind that I might forgot something, so maybe I'll suggest more in the future. Ah, and I choose maps by the criteria of gameplay, look & feel and design. I also tried to avoid maps with parts which are easy, but infuriating (like the Coffe II dragging part, rather impossible with weak hook...) - which made me do some sad choices (like in the case of Coffe I and Coffe II, which are both nice maps with some irritating parts).

Fifi, I agree to the most of the maps, but Zerodins maps are more the opposite of good^^

Hmm, I haven't played enough of his maps to judge them all. But I liked how some parts of Entei required a lot of thinking to find a proper way of doing them and how High Five required planning before doing (although it was a bit faily in some parts... one of the most incredible rescues I've ever seen happened on that map xD). ^^ Oh, and I forgot about Plan A, which is quite challenging, but not too faily.

And, of course, I like the Kobra series maps, but I have to say that sometimes they seem to be a bit too long.
