i didn't see any reason to not release it
mapper was happy with it, we did no damage to him and we didn't give him more permissions etc. than others
(i don't see a problem in doing what the mapper likes most, if we dont harm anybody)
if the mapper was a different one, i would also ask the mapper, if he is fine with what we do
first we wanted to shift the map releases 1 day in the future, but i also wanted aoes opinion on it (maybe he would like to have the release on tuesday for a special reason so i didn't want to just shift it)

i don't really see your problem Saavik, i didn't harm anybody and i didn't treat Aoe special, i also didn't panic i just searched for the best solution
